Discussion
The Discussion group aims to provide a social and general interest activity for members the Club. The group generally meets at 10am (or 11:00am) on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. The format is usually a 2 hour period of slide/discussions on technical/topical and various mixed subjects followed by lunch. Recent discussion topics have included the complexities of managing Australia’s electricity distribution management, the West Gate Bridge collapse, the rise and implications of electric vehicles, the government plans for achieving net zero carbon emissions, China’s Belt and Road initiative —– demonstrating a wide range of topics.
Overviews of the various discussions is usually reported in Grey Matter.
The group generally meets on a monthly basis with around 10 – 15 attendees at a local venue.
